Habitat Creation

Through our Habitat Collective, we create long-term, biodiversity-rich habitats using retained tree trunks, felled trees and monoliths. By carefully veteranising these structures and creating features such as cavities, coronet cuts and other deadwood habitats, we help accelerate natural ageing processes and create valuable opportunities for fungi, invertebrates, birds, bats and other wildlife.

We can also provide practical advice on wildlife-friendly planting and wider habitat creation, including bee berms, hibernacula and other features designed to support biodiversity and improve habitat connectivity. Each project is tailored to the site, helping to retain the ecological legacy of trees while creating richer, more resilient spaces where nature can flourish.
